The Best Prenatal Vitamins For High Risk Pregnancies

August 7th, 2010

There are many different prenatal vitamins out there, and every one seems to claim that they are the best prenatal vitamins. They all talk about what they think are the essential vitamins and how exactly you are going to see better results and benefits. But the question is, of course, which ones are the best prenatal vitamins? And are there specialized prenatal vitamins that are better for high risk pregnancies?

Honestly speaking, if you have a high risk pregnancy, you should constantly be consulting with your doctor for both your health and the health of the fetus. They are both equally important, and prenatal vitamins can of course prevent both birth defects and preeclampsia, the #1 killer of expectant mothers. However, the best prenatal vitamins can also provide a multitude of other benefits. With this being said, there are a few basic ingredients that are found in the best prenatal vitamins for the basic needs, and your doctor may recommend those with certain other nutrients.

For example, you should always have folic acid. Folic acid is used in the first 5 weeks after conception to properly enhance the development of the neural tubes, therefore helping you to avoid a number of birth defects such as spinal bifida. Likewise, iron deficiencies are extremely common in pregnant women, and they can lead to problems with anemia as well as premature births. Calcium is important for bone development, and it can preserve other parts of the body. You need about 1000mg per day.

For those women who want the extra kick, there are of course other vitamins. Vitamin B6 has been used to reduce a woman’s likelihood of experiencing morning sickness. And you will find that probiotics, which help to balance out the digestive flora and the immune system, can help you to also reduce the risk of infantile eczema by 50% while simultaneously reducing allergies and preventing spontaneous miscarriages in the first trimester. With the best prenatal vitamins, you will get all of these and more to cover all of your basic needs.

How To Enlarge The Penis

February 18th, 2010

The penis is an interesting thing. It is a muscle just as the breasts are a certain collection of fatty tissue, and yet to some degree, we are obsessed with changing the size, for the most part enlarging it. It’s something that will never really be seen or noticed on a regular basis, and yet it makes up a large part of a man’s pride. We don’t wear clothes to show it off, and yet size matters. So what about penis enlargement or otherwise?

While we all like the idea of enlarging our penises with products like ExtenZe for example, the penis enlargement scam is by no means uncommon. In fact, we see scams based on penis enlargement every day. They claim that you can extend the size, width, etc, with a simple pill just as there are scams out there that claim to enlarge the breasts. But obviously, while breast enlargement in men is a problem and there can be foods for example and diseases that contribute to that, there is no way to really naturally enhance the size of the penis.

This being said, products like ExtenZe and the users thereof are in for a harsh surprise when it comes right down to it, when they find out that this never actually works out. This being said, you have to ask, do products like ExtenZe even work? Is ExtenZe just using that because it sounds good on a product that otherwise does actually work, or is it a scam all together? After all, don’t all male enhancement products, regardless of whether or not they actually work, talk about the scam of trying to enhance the size of the penis?

In the case of ExtenZe, you are not actually going to see results. The simple fact is that ExtenZe is a waste of time and money. It will not help you to see any results or benefits, and there are far better options out there to say the least. Without question, I would at least recommend that you check into another product instead known as Orexis. Orexis has all the right stuff and an amazing formula for real and lasting success.

Hemorrhoids and Diabetes

September 24th, 2009

At the first sign of straining to have a bowel movement you should be adding fiber to your diet and drinking more water. Hemorrhoids come from straining to have a bowel movement. If you have diabetes you should be careful about taking some medications to treat hemorrhoids because they can have negative effects on blood glucose levels and can cause physical problems for diabetics. There are other treatments for diabetics with hemorrhoids. Eat foods high in fiber and also products containing psyllium are high in fiber. Do not sit on the toilet for a long time trying to defecate. Use ice packs can help with swelling.

Sit in warm water with Epsom salt for about 15 minutes. This can help relieve the inflammation. Preparation H is one of the over-the-counter products that can cause blood sugar to rise if it is absorbed in large amounts. There are several other kinds of treatments for people with diabetes. There are anesthetics, astringents and protectants that can help with hemorrhoids. It is so important that you eat a more natural diet for any disease that you can think of. Diet and exercise are a must. If you are to sick to exercise then start at least by changing what you can in your diet.

Types of Hemorrhoids

September 19th, 2009

In case you wouldn’t aware there are three kinds of hemorrhoids. The first one is internal hemorrhoids that involve the veins inside your rectum. These kinds don’t usually hurt but can bleed. The next kind are prolapsed hemorrhoids which are inside but stretch down until they bulge on the outside. They can go back inside on their own or you can push them back inside. The third kind are external hemorrhoids that are in the veins outside the anus. These are the kind that are itchy or painful and sometimes will crack and bleed.

Hemorrhoids are caused by straining when you are constipated but can also be caused from diarrhea, being obese or lifting something heavy. Most people will get hemorrhoids some time in their live and usually go away by just using a hemorrhoid cream. You don’t really need to see a doctor unless they are bleeding and then you want to make sure it is not something more serious. To get rid of hemorrhoids eat more fiber, as well as fresh fruits, leafy vegetables and whole grains. Drink plenty of water (not alcohol). Exercise. Avoid laxatives except for those that are bulk-forming. Other kinds can give you diarrhea which worsens your hemorrhoids. When you need to have a bowel movement don’t put it off because you are doing something else.

Symptoms Of Hemorrhoids

September 18th, 2009

It’s amazing the way we take our health for granted. I remember when I used to take walks and how much I enjoyed smelling the clean air and noticing how beautiful nature was especially in the fall. Then I got hemorrhoids! What a cramp in anyone’s lifestyle. This happened to me after trying to deliver a baby and having to push until I thought my insides we become outsides. It took awhile using some of that wonderful hemorrhoid cream to get rid of the annoying little bobbles. I can remember trying to take walks after that; it was painful each step I took.

The process of walking just rubbed back and forth making it feel much worse than when I just sat still on a couch. Even sitting on a hard chair was uncomfortable. Then the dreaded bowel movement eventually became unavoidable. Because it hurt so much I tended to hold and clench because I just didn’t want to experience the pain again. That just made things worse. Looking back I would take a little more care to drink a lot of water and maybe take a stool softener to make the simple things we take for granted a little more easy to do. I value my “comfortableness” much more than I used to.

Calmovil

September 14th, 2009

Many people are embarrassed to talk about the fact that they hemorrhoids because it’s not comfortable to talk about your anus.  People even avoid having sex because they are afraid their partner will notice they have hemorrhoids.  How sexy is that?  Pretty soon you are feeling depressed from all the pain and itching.  A hemorrhoid is a vein that has become enlarged in the anus.  When you are healthy then the tissue around the anus fills with blood when  you have a bowel movement.  If there is constant pressure or for other reasons the blow flow becomes restricted and then the veins in the anus become inflamed.

When there is poor blood flow a blood clot can develop.  The result of all this is a hemorrhoid which is swollen, painful and is protruding.  There is a product that I read about called Calmovil.  It works by unclogging and shrinking the hemorrhoid by dissolving the blood clots inside the hemorrhoid.  It has bioflavonoids that help to reduce inflammation.  It helps strengthen weak veins and stops hemorrhoids that are bleeding.  Calmovil is absorbed into the bloodstream and you can experience relief within eight hours.  It helps relieve the itching and pain of hemorrhoids as well.

Detox To Relieve Hemorrhoids

September 10th, 2009

I read about a great home detoxification program which I thought sounded great for hemorrhoids.  First thing is people need to drink enough water, preferably filtered water.    The take a detox bath.  Start off with a clean bathtub.  Wash yourself thoroughly before you take the bath.  Fill the tub with water that is as hot as you can stand without burning yourself.  The water needs to be high enough for you to emerge yourself up to your neck so find a way to cover the overflow valve.  Start with only a 5 minute bath even though it may feel good to stay in longer the body releases toxins so quickly that the liver can’t detoxify them fast enough and you can feel ill the next day.

Take a shower after your bath and scrub your skin all over to get off any toxins that were released.  If you don’t the toxins can be reabsorbed by the body.  If you feel fine after the first 5 minute bath then increase each bath time by 5 minutes the next day.  Keep increasing the time until you can sit in plain hot water to thirty minutes.  Drink some water during your bath because you will probably sweat.  You can also take some vitamin C because it helps remove the toxins.  It is also a good idea to use Epsom salts.  Start with one quarter of a cup and increase to 4 cups per tub of clean hot water.

Problems With Hemorrhoids

September 9th, 2009

Hemorrhoids are one of the most annoying conditions I have experienced.  It’s all about getting more fiber in your diet.  But it seems to me as I talk to my friends that most people eat in such a way that eating something raw triggers terror in their minds that says “Oh, how terrible, how can you eat that bland food?”  Well, what is the alternative?  Instead of having a bowel movement every day we end up only having one a week, then we are straining and pushing trying to get it out.  The next thing we know, we have hemorrhoids.  It becomes a vicious cycle of no fiber, no bowel movements, then painful bowel movements, straining and pushing which only makes them worse.

Then we need to invest in creams or even perhaps, if they become bad enough we may have to have surgery.  I know because I experienced hemorrhoids when I would have labor to deliver a baby.  I vowed then that when those horrible little blood-filled balls went away I would change the way I ate.  And that’s exactly what I did.  To this day I have never had hemorrhoids again.  I notice when I travel though I have a much harder time having a bowel movement than at home because I eat all the wrong food together and everything is cooked way too much.

Eat More Vegetables To Get Rid Of Hemorrhoids

September 8th, 2009

No matter what I read about hemorrhoids it basically all says the same thing–fiber, fiber, fiber.  You have to eat fiber.  If hemorrhoids are caused by pregnacy then they will go away in a short time.  When I was in labor the constant straining and pushing is what caused my hemorrhoids.  It was hard to get rid of them for awhile because I was constipated as well.  The best thing to do is take something in order to make your stools softer so you don’t have to strain and keep the hemorrhoids from becoming more serious.   Once the pressure is off then the hemorrhoids can shrink.

I found some hemorrhoid cream that helped the itching and finally did shrink the hemorrhoids.  It also helps to sit in hot water for 15 minutes or as long as you can.  There are so many creams you can use that I don’t think you need to spend a lot of money.  They pretty much all work the same or at least they should.  If your hemorrhoids are caused by not getting enough fiber there are products on the market that give you fiber.  But it is just as easy to eat foods during the day that have fiber.  Eating vegetables raw is a great source of fiber.

Suppositories As A Treatment For Hemorrhoids

September 7th, 2009

Half of all Americans over the age of 50 have hemorrhoids.  Hemorrhoid treatment is estimated at over 50 million dollars per year.  Most of this money is from suppositories.  This is astounding to me.  All this could be prevented by eating fiber and fluids.  Hemorrhoids can be treated in many different ways, but way wait, start changing your diet now.  If you increase how much water, vitamin C and fiber, and exercise regularly, the blood that gets trapped in the veins will be reabsorbed into the body and the problem will clear up.  I have had hemorrhoids and it was terribly painful.

I have since made several changes in my diet and I haven’t had a problem since.  You should be having at least one bowel movement a day and preferably two.  If you are eating more fiber and drinking a lot of water then you stools with be softer and bulkier and that makes it easier to have a bowel movement.  Good sources of fiber are fruits, vegetable and whole grains.  Don’t let your hemorrhoids get to the point that you will have to have surgery to get rid of them.
